LVSSN’s EPC cement production line integrates raw-material handling, pyro-processing, and finish grinding into a seamless, energy-efficient workflow. Below we dissect each major stage—crushing, raw-meal preparation, kiln firing, and cement grinding—highlighting key equipment, process parameters, and best practices for maximizing throughput and minimizing emissions.
1. Raw Material Crushing & Pre-treatment
Raw materials such as limestone and clay are first reduced to ≤30 mm by jaw crushers and impact crushers to prepare for subsequent grinding. Subsequently, the stockpile-reclaiming system in the material yard ensures uniform proportioning, and magnetic separation and vibrating screens are used to remove impurities to ensure stable raw material quality.
2. Raw-Meal Blending & Grinding
The crushed material enters the raw material bin according to the formula ratio (generally 85% limestone + 15% clay), and is sent to the vertical roller mill or tube mill through a screw conveyor to be ground to less than 90 μm to form a uniform raw material powder. Premixing is completed in a drum or horizontal mixer to ensure the consistency of chemical composition.
3. Preheating & Clinkerization
The raw material powder is sent to a multi-stage cyclone preheater, partially decomposed in a hot air flow of 700–900 °C, and then enters the main furnace of the rotary kiln. The temperature rises rapidly to 1450 °C, and calcium oxide and silicate are combined to form clinker balls. The use of waste heat power generation and waste heat boilers to recover heat energy can reduce energy consumption by 10%–15%.
4. Clinker Cooling & Storage
Clinker is rapidly cooled to ≤100 °C by water cooler or air cooler to ensure stable crystal phase and easy crushing. The cooled clinker is transported to the silo, temporarily stored and discharged into the grinding system as needed.
5. Cement Grinding
Clinker and gypsum (3%–5%) are fed into the cement mill (vertical roller mill or ball mill) together and ground to standard fineness (3500–4500 cm²/g Blaine). The closed-circuit air flow powder separator separates qualified products from the coarse powder returned to the grinding mill to ensure uniform particle size of the finished product.
6. Packing & Dispatch
Fine powder is efficiently recovered by bag filter, and environmentally friendly emissions are ≤30 mg/Nm³. Finished cement is transported to bulk tanks or automatic packaging machines, supporting both bagged (20–50 kg) and bulk modes, and can automatically dock with docks/tank trucks to achieve efficient shipment.
7. Intelligent Monitoring and Operation (Digital Control & Maintenance)
The entire line is equipped with a PLC/DCS system to monitor temperature, pressure, dust concentration and equipment vibration in real time. Remote diagnosis and early warning minimize the risk of unplanned downtime. Combined with predictive maintenance, maintenance costs can be reduced by 20%.
